About Us
The Spay Neuter Project of Park County is a volunteer-run organization based in Livingston, Montana. We work to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in our area by providing low-cost spaying and neutering. The Spay Neuter Project started in 2012 with sponsorship from the Livingston Stafford Animal Shelter, and in 2014 became an independent tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
How We Work
Clinics: these are held in Livingston and are for cats only. Our clinic veterinarian is Dr. Amy Lamm of Vet-2-Go, based in Billings. Clinic services are donation-based: we ask clients to pay what they can. Our partner Dr. Laurel Rhodes of Livingston Aloha Mobile Veterinary Care also provides low-cost vaccinations and microchips for dogs and cats at these clinics.
Vouchers: we provide cost-share vouchers for dogs and cats, in partnership with local veterinarians who provide their services at a discount. Clients receiving vouchers schedule spay/neuter surgery with a participating veterinarian and pay what they can afford. The Spay Neuter Project covers the remainder of the surgery cost, as well as half the cost of pain medication and half the cost of rabies vaccination if required.
To Request a Spay-Neuter Appointment or Voucher
Our Big Kitty Fix cat clinics are high volume, so we ask clients to schedule a drop-off time in advance for their cats. Call (406) 222-2134 or e-mail spayneuterlivingston@gmail.com. Walks-ins are accepted if space allows.
Vouchers for cats or dogs can be requested at any time, but can only be provided to Park County residents. Call (406) 222-2134.
